AgeWell South Physical Therapy and Wellness, P.A. is a therapist-owned outpatient physical therapy practice, specializing in the unique therapy needs of mature adults. Our mission is to provide the most effective evidence-based outpatient physical and occupational therapy in an environment that is perfectly suited for the senior population. Our clinic, equipment and service are designed to best serve the unique needs of seniors.

John Dragan P.T., GCS, CEEAA is co-Founder of AgeWell Physical Therapy and Wellness, P.C. He is a Board Certified Clinical Geriatric Specialist. Mr. Dragan matriculated at the University of Connecticut where he received his Degree in Physical Therapy. Prior to opening AgeWell, Mr. Dragan was the Director of Rehabilitation at a well known 255 bed inpatient center on Long Island where he supervised physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology services. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and its Private Practice and Geriatric Sections, the Senior Umbrella Network of Nassau, and of the New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Dragan earned his Certification as Exercise Expert for Aging Adults. CEEAA in August, 2010. This certification enhances the ability of physical therapists to incorporate evidence into practice in order to appropriately examine and provide the quality of exercise that will yield optimal benefits for the aging adult.

Mark Herbrich P.T., M.A., CEEAA is co-Founder of AgeWell Physical Therapy and Wellness, P.C. He received his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 1995 from Touro College in Dix Hills NY. He practiced physical therapy for three years at Jamaica Hospital in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings, in acute care and in the James Brady Traumatic Brain Injury Unit. He practiced in an inpatient rehabilitation setting at Grace Plaza Rehabilitation Center in Great Neck and as Physical Therapy Supervisor for six years at Sun Harbor Manor in Roslyn Heights. Winthrop University Hospital Home Health Agency in Mineola provided Mr. Herbrich with the opportunity to treat patients in the home setting. Mr. Herbrich is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and its Private Practice and Geriatric Sections, the Senior Umbrella Network of Nassau, and of the New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce.

Mike Saunders PT, ATC

Mike Saunders PT, ATC, graduated in1977 from New York University Physical Therapy school. In addition to his PT qualifications and experience, he is also a Certified Athletic Trainer (NATA). Mike was the head athletic trainer and physical therapist for 27 years for the New York Knicks. He owned and was the sole PT provider at Saunders Physical Therapy and Sports Performance in Pomona, NY, 2006-2014. During his long successful career with the Knicks, Mike was a 2-time NBA All-Star Trainer (1986 and 1998) and a 2-time NBA Trainer of the Year (1994 and 2005). In this connection, he is a member of the NYC Basketball Hall of Fame. Mike moved with his wife to Delray Beach in 2014 and obtained his Florida physical therapy license. Mike maintains countless relationships he developed during his career, especially with the NY Knicks and the Miami Heat. Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children, exercising regularly, and sharing his talents and energy with many charities. AgeWell South PT welcomes Mike to our staff.

Michael Calandrillo attended Farmingdale and Old Westbury colleges receiving undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. He was awarded president list status as a result of academic excellence. He graduated in 1999 with honors in internship from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. He is licensed in Florida and throughout Europe. He ran his own practice, Advanced Therapeutic Specialists and was the director of Rehabilitation for Arthritis Associates of South Florida. He has been with AgeWell South PT since 2016.

Dr. Larit is a Chiropractor. originally from Queens, N.Y. He has been practicing in Florida since 2001. He is also a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). It is from his physical therapy background and his knowledge as a Chiropractor that Dr. Larit is able to give exceptional care to individuals with orthopedic/neurologic conditions or those suffering with sports injuries or injuries sustained in a car accident.
